b12 – the festival for contemporary dance and performance art in Berlin 2026 needs you – it’s only really fun with you!
Get inspired by our satellite program b12 spring, running from April 13 to 26, 2026. And if that’s not exciting enough, dive into our big four-week b12 Summer Festival from July 6 to August 2, packed with countless workshops, performances, and events. Could it get even more thrilling? Absolutely! Join our 13-day satellite program b12 fall in autumn, from October 19 to November 1. For the first time, you can also apply for our hugely popular Performance Projects during all festivals – they used to be exclusive to b12 Summer. And while we’re at it, don’t miss our newest, three-month educational program, b12 mavericks – a deep dive into contemporary dance and performance art like never before.
We want you here with us – ideally always! This is where you get to learn from and with inspiring teachers, artists, and choreographers. And, of course, your friends. In light-filled studios surrounded by nature, you can share your passion and push your artistic limits. All our festivals take place on-site in Berlin, with participants, teachers, and choreographers fully present, in studios and a theatre that hums with energy.
Ready to dive in? Expect a bold mix of approaches: from film, text, movement, acrobatics, and theatre to experimental and futuristic formats. The best part? You design your own workshop plan. Every invited teacher brings a singular perspective, and we can’t wait to collide all these voices together. Extended workshop times let you dig deep into your artistic journey. Over 80 research workshop leaders will guide you on a path of discovery, uncovering sides of yourself you didn’t know existed. At b12, you join a curious, boundary-pushing community fascinated by the unexplored. Whether theoretical, physical, or somewhere in between – if you’re open, your Berlin experience will be unforgettable.
