our collective's work focuses on how, physically, we are able to enter, establish, and develop, through contact with a partner, an authentic dialogue in couple work. partnering techniques, and not only these, are used as a fertile ground of possibilities, allowing us to explore the most genuine and honest connections between two bodies. through contact, the bodies learn once again to recognise and reflect one another, revealing a universal principle of relationship and reciprocity. in this process, space itself becomes generative of meaning and possibility — a place where physicality transforms into language, and movement becomes an act of listening.

biography / Marco Pergallini
marco came to dance through hip hop and breaking. he graduated from the mc hip hop school with marisa ragazzo and omid ighani. he completed his contemporary dance studies, graduating in florence at the opus ballet choreographic center, and trained further through seminars. he collaborates with various companies, such as opus ballet company, dna company, cie twain physical dance theater, compagnia petrillo danza and cia tiziana arnaboldi, performing in many italian theatres and foreign countries like panama, madrid, soria, corsica and switzerland. in 2020 he started a choreographic research forming, with maria stella pitarresi, their collective. their creations, sinopia and memento, were presented in numerous festivals and obtained multiple awards. he taught for many professional training courses, holding workshops and master classes in various spaces and centres in italy and abroad, focused on the training of young dancers, by offering contemporary, athletic movement, floorwork and partnering classes. he has collaborated with b12, sic dance festival, specific/loris petrillo, modem/scenario pubblico and more. in 2022 he was selected for the work dog play, curated by clara furey/prod.performare festival in collaboration with par.b.l.eux. in 2024, with the collective pergallini/pitarresi, he founded platz14, a contemporary dance professional centre.
biography / Maria Stella Pitarresi
she began her dance studies at modem/scenario pubblico by roberto zappalà. in 2016 she was selected for the project a dark tale, edited by peter jasko and clara furey. she collaborates with different realities such as muxarte, cia gabriella secchi, danza flux, compagnia petrillo danza, cie twain physical dance theater and cia tiziana arnaboldi. in addition to acting as an interpreter, she began a research path as an author with blue ottobre, and later with eclipse. in 2020, with marco pergallini, she established an artistic collective, pergallini/pitarresi, with the aim of deepening the correlation between a physical language and a poetic research. their first choreographic work sinopia was winner of the teatro san materno – ascona award for the present future 2021 festival at the teatro libero in palermo, winner of the second edition of portaits on stage 2022, and winner of the residence call citofonare pimoff 22/23, as well as finalist of the international prize prospettiva danza teatro 2022. she taught at the specific athletic training and artistic training for contemporary dancers directed by loris petrillo and modem atelier. with the collective, she collaborated with b12 and sic dance festival 2024. in 2023, she started her collaboration with cie 111, directed by aurelien bory, with the production invisibili, for a three-year tour, which is still ongoing. in 2024 she is the co-artistic director of platz14, professional dance training centre, in palermo.

pergallini/pitarresi is an artistic collective founded in 2020 that operates in the field of contemporary dance. their first choreographic work, sinopia, has been presented and selected for numerous festivals across italy. in 2021, it was selected for presente futuro festival/teatro libero in palermo, where it won the teatro san materno–ascona award (switzerland). it also won the portraits on stage 2022 residency grant, the citofonare pimoff 22/23 call, and was a finalist for the premio internazionale prospettiva danza teatro 2022. in 2024, their creation memento was among the winning works of the urban dance/anticorpi xl network call. they hold workshops and masterclasses in various spaces and choreographic centres in italy and abroad, focusing on the training of young dancers by offering classes in contemporary dance, athletic movement, floorwork, and partnering (like specific athletic and artistic training of contemporary dancers by loris petrillo; modem atelier by roberto zappalà; dance gallery/perugia; teatro pimoff/milan; makako/turin). they taught at b12 in berlin, and they were invited as guest teachers at the first edition of sic dance festival in lecce. since 2024, they have been the artistic directors of platz14, a professional training centre for contemporary dance in palermo. they are currently collaborating with compagnia tiziana arnaboldi in ascona.
